Occasionally, I have received emails asking me about "the book". I've had to respond that there is no book. The web pages are all there is. I've toyed with the idea of turning this site into a book, but the thought of the amount of editing it would take quickly dampened my enthusiasm. Yet, these web pages have a long history.
While wondering what to do next, I was sent a sign! Amazon introduced Kindle Direct Publishing, where books are submitted as HTML files!. So, just as it was a simple matter to convert text files into web pages, it is a straightforward process to collect these notes into a single document and distribute them as an eBook. I've revised many of these web pages and assembled all of them into The Little Handbook of Statistical Practice eBook that is now available from Amazon.
Don't own a Kindle? No matter. Amazon provides free Kindle programs and apps that make it possible to read Kindle books on almost any device.
As a result of moving to eBook format, I am freezing these web pages. Except for a few typos I hope to correct, there will be no further additions or revisions here. All future updates will be part of the eBook.
My hope is that readers of the eBook will find it as useful as visitors here have found this site. If it doesn't work out, well, there's this website that would be easy to revive!
